Knock...Knock...Knock...Will You Let Me In?

Blogging is a huge commitment for one to make... As an avid reader of blogs, I know how it feels to frequent the page of your favorite blogger only to find that no updates have been made :/.  But if you open the door for me to come inside your home...your office... your car or where ever you are... I promise you... I can explain :)!

Since my last post soooo much has happened in my world!!!

First off, I experienced months of blissful bridal showers!!!

I married my prince charming on September 22, 2012 in a fairy tale wedding and each day we strive to live "happily-ever-after!"

We jet setted off only a few hours later to beautiful Bora! Bora! in our official husband and wife attire!!!!

We honeymooned in Tahiti, Bora Bora and Hollywood!

We moved into our new home which is nestled in a nice golfing community....

I started to spiff it up a bit by doing several DIY projects... (that continues to be a work in progress)!  LOL!

We celebrated our 25th church anniversary where Vashawn Mitchell (he sings Nobody Greater) was our guest psalmist....

I spruced the house up and we celebrated our First Thanksgiving....

Which was followed by our first Christmas....

And then we culminated our year in Nashville, TN at the Opryland Hotel in support of his brother's engagement!!! Yay, another beautiful Turner wedding!!!
So...yes 2012 was extremely busy and as I peck this post... I am reminded of how incredibly blessed we are!  I wrote several posts in my mind...but they never quite made it to my blog!!! Now, that I am back in and things are relaxing a bit I plan to replay some of this memorable moments in my life!!!  It is my prayer that our lives will be a light for all to see how serving God, obeying God and loving God has laid the foundation of our awesome testimony!

Our Magical Disney Engagement: Part II

Now that I have completed our engagement story, I have come to the realization that it is quite lengthy  So... I will break it up into several smaller entries for your reading pleasure... Enjoy!

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 7:45 p.m. Corlandos and Robert scurried through the park heading towards Cinderella’s castle. We had been in the park earlier that day and had returned for an evening of fun and good food!

{Photo Credits: The Royal Turner Family}
I could not understand why they were in such a hurry! Tamara and I stopped to enjoy the scenery and to capture a few shots of the beautiful castle that contained over 200,000 lights. Robert and Corlandos disappeared into the crowd…

We caught up with them a few times and they continued to delay our next venture. At this point Tamara got involved and distracted me with a Disney photo shoot!  You know I am always down for a photo shoot!  I was so captivated by the beauty of the park that I failed {in all of my FBI characteristics} failed to piece together their suspect behavior.

They finally found us after a round of picture taken and pseudo photo shoots… I was growing hungrier by the minute… To my surprise we were having dinner in Cinderella’s castle!!!

DID YOU HEAR ME???? WE WERE HAVING THANKSGIVING DINNER IN CINDERELLA’S CASTLE, AND I COULD NOT BE MORE THANKFUL!!!!

Finally, it was time to dine and we entered into Cinderella’s majestic castle. I was totally taken… I was overwhelmed… I still can not find the words to express the myriad of emotions that I felt at that very moment!

I. Me. Melanie. M’Shonta. The lil’ country girl from Greenville, AL. The self professed pageant princess was in Cinderella’s castle!

What a dream come true!!!

YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! I WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN ALL OF MY LIFE!!!

I PRAYED ABOUT IT! I DAY DREAMED ABOUT IT! I ASKED FOR IT EVERY SINGLE YEAR THAT ROBERT AND I HAD BEEN DATING! AND FINALLY, IT WAS HERE!

I now experienced firsthand the lyrics of Kelly Clarkson’s hit, “For a Moment Like This!” I mean I can sing it from my soul!

For a moment like this… Some people wait a lifetime… for moment like this… Some people search forever… For that one special kiss…Oh, I can’t believe that this is happening to me… Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this!

That is so true! How incredibly blessed was I to experience that moment! The moment where my dreams and reality shook hands and agreed to bring me along for the ride!

Up next, the Royal Turner family is invited to have dinner with Cinderella!

Just in case you missed a Magical Moment, here are the recaps!

Wedding Wednesday 002- When Inspiration Comes to Life

It's wedding Wednesday!!! YAY!!!!

This week I will be sharing with you some photographs from a wedding that I coordinated and decorated on June 11th.  In our initial meeting the bride expressed to me that her #1 favorite color was yellow and so we went with yellow, black and white!  I immediately began to surf the internet for inspiration and here is what I found...

Yes! Yes! Yes!  Lots of yellow-yumminess!

And here is what you get when inspiration comes to life!

The wedding turned out beautiful and the bride was glowing and gorgeous!  Oh how I love happy endings!!!!

S.N.- Have I mentioned how much I love the new blogger?  Whew hoooo!!!!  Four post in one day!  A new record for me!!!

Love Notes

Last year I ran across these in the Dollar Spot at Target for $1 and {oh} I fell in love at first sight. They are too cute! I managed to get a pink and a silver one this year. For those of you who are 2009 brides and you are wondering how in the world these little cuties tie into your wedding plans.... Well, let's say that these {cuties} will keep love in the air all year long... LOL! You can use these to leave each other little {love} notes and gifts whenever you feel the need. When you are done just raise the arm to let your {sweetie} know that he has mail!!!

I created two of these last year for Mr. F-A-B-U-L-U-O-S and I. I will post pics later. Until then... enjoy!

You are Invited...

There are so many options out there for wedding invitations. My friend really doesn't have any specifications other than she wants them to be clean, classy and simple. I have been shopping around a little and here's what I found:
I love the way that this one folds....

I love anything that you can truly do yourself!

A little Tiffany blue....

A little economical....

And a little flair....

Any suggestions???? Come on...you're invited!
